Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa is a picturesque country house hotel located in the Surrey Hills. It offers a restaurant, a spa with a swimming pool, and is a great base for exploring the area. We stayed here last year and had a great experience, but this year the service was disappointing. Our room was big, bright, and clean, and the spa facilities were also clean. We booked a treatment which was great, but the spa could be a bit run down in places and the pool was quite cold. The food was good and the main restaurant was being refurbished, so they were using another space with no kitchen, which meant food was being run across the car park. On New Years Eve we were looking forward to using the leisure facilities but the gym was closed and the pool was too cold. The sauna was also out of order and the shower heads did not work. The room was lovely and recently renovated, but the advertised Gatsby New Years Eve event was not quite as expected.
