    Balch Hotel is a 3-star property set in the small and peaceful town of Dufur surrounded by fields and views of Mount Hood. This charming old building has plenty of character, with free WiFi, a garden and a bar. Our room was the King Spa room with a hot tub and stunning view of the mountain. The bed was dreamy and the grounds peaceful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was included. We were also impressed by the hotel's commitment to sustainability, with no single-use plastic and a gay pride flag and a Black Lives Matter sign at the entryway. A perfect location for a getaway, Balch Hotel exceeded our expectations!
