We were upgraded to the master suite and welcomed with a few bottles of fizz and rose petals. The Spa was very relaxing, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend Thainstone House for a special getaway.

This beautiful Victorian mansion, set in peaceful countryside 5 miles from Aberdeen, offers an array of amenities for a relaxing break. With 2 bars, 1 restaurant and a spa, gym and pool, you can unwind in style in your spacious double room complete with a huge bed, great duvet, bed linens and towels. Recently refurbished with Timorous Beasties wallpaper, the public rooms are unfortunately cold but the food is good. The whisky bar is closed but the main bar offers a cosy atmosphere. There is a reduced menu but the vegetarian curry is really good. Unfortunately, the staff morale is low but if you’re looking for value for money, this could be just the place!
