The Radisson Blu Durham is the perfect destination for a stay in Durham. Just 1 mile from the Rail Station and city centre, it offers stunning views of Durham Cathedral, stylish rooms, free WiFi, a restaurant, bar and modern health club. The staff are friendly, professional, accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with separate seating areas and a dressing table/desk. The bar and social areas are great for groups, and the food is delicious. The pool is highly recommended, and the spa is a must-visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they even left us a birthday message in the room. Unfortunately, the junior suite we had was a bit of a let-down, with a view of a building site, only one cup on the tea tray, and air conditioning that couldn't be turned off. Despite this, we would definitely come back for another stay.

The Manor House Hotel is a charming English manor house, conveniently located close to the A1 road and offering free WiFi in public areas and food served all day. Our superior room was large and allowed us to bring our two dogs, and featured a good-sized TV and a bank of lovely old wooden wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom was modern and clean and had a full-sized bath and separate power shower. The restaurant and bar were closed due to Covid, but the hotel provided room service for breakfast and evening meals. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself is an impressive piece of history, dating back to 1429. The rooms are clean and well-maintained and the restaurant offers good food. I took a few walks in the area and found the locals to be very polite. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay at The Manor House Hotel.

We took advantage of the spa treatments, pool and even a round of crazy golf before check out. The room was comfortable and luxurious with complimentary toiletries. The evening meal and breakfast buffet were delicious and service was outstanding. We had a lovely stay and the value for money was fantastic - we would highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
