The night manager was unhelpful and blamed guests for setting off the siren. There were also no health and safety protocols followed by the staff. Furthermore, the images on the website do not give an accurate representation of what the hotel is actually like. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

DoubleTree by Hilton St Anne's Manor is a countryside retreat surrounded by 25 acres of woodland. With close proximity to Reading, Heathrow and Windsor, it's a great place to explore the area. The hotel offers deluxe rooms with two queen size beds and a bath, but there was a mix up with our booking. The front of house team were very apologetic and gave us complimentary drinks vouchers and interconnecting rooms at no extra charge. The rooms were lovely, but the beds were firm and the pillows were too soft and noisy. Breakfast was a let down, with cold and lukewarm food, one toaster and no bread. Evening meals were chaotic, with understaffed restaurants, no plates, no juice, and no teaspoons. The room had no bin and the iron was supplied without an ironing board. Despite the issues, it was a great place to stay to explore the region.

The hotel advertises itself as luxurious, but the rooms and pool can be a bit basic. Unfortunately, the hotel's guests can be quite loud and the fire alarm was set off in the middle of the night. The walk to the reception is lengthy, and the stair bannisters have Christmas decorations that may be a health and safety hazard. The room is small and the mini bar is empty, but there's a water fountain in the hallway. The restaurant and spa are good, but the aromatherapy room isn't working. Despite the issues, this is still a great hotel for an unforgettable stay.
