The Merrie Lion in Southam is a charming pub in a pretty village with free WiFi and rooms with a flat-screen TV. Just 36 km from Stratford-upon-Avon and 32 km from Coventry, the hotel is well-situated for exploring the area. The room was generously sized, with all the necessary amenities, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is included in the room price and was tasty, generously sized and kept us going until late afternoon. The pub is well kept and full of character, and the hotel across the car park is newly done and offers a huge, well-equipped room with a luxurious bathroom and toiletries. Dog-friendly rooms come with private garden areas, making it ideal for a pet-friendly stay. The whole experience was well thought-out and organised, making us feel very welcome and looked after. A great stay!
