Southcroft is a great place to stay in Bridport for a city break or a longer stay. Located on a hill with stunning views of the Dorset countryside, it offers a comfortable double room with en-suite bathroom and a kitchen area with all the necessary appliances. David and Lynda are excellent hosts - they contacted me before my arrival to arrange a taxi and upon arrival they were both there to welcome me, hand over the keys and explain how everything in the apartment worked. They even provide milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, an egg, a tin of beans, cereals, jam and marmalade and even some biscuits and chocolates - what a lovely touch! The apartment is spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the dressing gown and towels are super-soft and brilliant white. Southcroft is within an easy 10-min walk from two main festival venues (Electric Palace and The Bull) and an excellent place to base yourself to take in West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Eype and of course the south west coast path as well as some of the towns further afield.
