Lakeside Country Guest House is a truly unique and special place to stay. It is situated in front of Bassenthwaite Lake with mountain views that can be enjoyed from the front bedrooms, and is conveniently located between Keswick and Cockermouth. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the wonderful Karen & Tim, our hosts. Our room was warm and cosy, and incredibly clean, with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian options, and all made with fresh ingredients. The added bonus of laminated information sheets of local walks and hikes was a great touch. There is plenty of parking at the front of the guesthouse, as well as many local restaurants and pubs within a short drive. We had an amazing three night stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Our room was super clean and had an en-suite with an amazing hot shower. Breakfast was table service with a great selection and plenty of extras. Covid precautions are taken seriously by the owners. Paul & Carol, the hosts, are lovely and very helpful with directions for the best walks and places to eat. The location is great, less than 5 minutes to the town centre. Our room had a lovely view of the babbling brook. We also had chocolates and biscuits provided daily and a tea/coffee making facility in the room. We would definitely recommend having dinner at the Pheasant Inn. Babbling Brook Guesthouse is a great place to stay for a refreshing break!

The room (Latrigg) was very comfortable, stylish, spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and well presented. Emma called us the day before to confirm our room was ready and gave us all the details we needed. Plus, Sean was the perfect host at breakfast time, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. The location is perfect - just a few minutes' walk from Keswick town centre and the foot of Catbells. We had a lovely stay celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and can highly recommend Cragwood Guesthouse.

We felt truly at home and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a homely, warm and accommodating place to stay.
