    Lakeside Country Guest House is a truly unique and special place to stay. It is situated in front of Bassenthwaite Lake with mountain views that can be enjoyed from the front bedrooms, and is conveniently located between Keswick and Cockermouth. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the wonderful Karen & Tim, our hosts. Our room was warm and cosy, and incredibly clean, with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian options, and all made with fresh ingredients. The added bonus of laminated information sheets of local walks and hikes was a great touch. There is plenty of parking at the front of the guesthouse, as well as many local restaurants and pubs within a short drive. We had an amazing three night stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

    Graysonside is a lovely and cosy former farmhouse located on the western edge of the Lake District, just over 1 mile from Cockermouth. Boasting award-winning accommodation, guests can enjoy stylish en suite rooms with free WiFi, on-site parking and a homely atmosphere. Enjoy the stunning gardens and eat outside at the tables and chairs, or take advantage of the small kitchenette in the rooms to cook dinner from a nearby Lidl store.     Tithe Barn - Self Check In Hotel is an impeccable property situated in the heart of Cockermouth. All units come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and shower. The building has been finished to a very high standard, and the pictures don't do the rooms justice. Upgrade to a super king room for ultimate luxury, and enjoy the convenience of self-check-in. The bar is open until 11 pm and the noise is minimal, while nearby parking is a two-second walk away. Breakfast at Veeva is incredible, and the village has lots of pubs, bars and restaurants to explore. The Trout Hotel and Blocks Steak House are great spots for dinner, and don't forget to head to the Lake District Distillery for some vodka and gin. Tithe Barn provides the perfect escape for a romantic getaway; you won't be disappointed!

    Babbling Brook Guesthouse is a 3-star accommodation located in Keswick, 17km from Buttermere and 32km from Askham Hall. All rooms have amazing mountain views and free WiFi. Our room was super clean and had an en-suite with an amazing hot shower. Breakfast was table service with a great selection and plenty of extras. Covid precautions are taken seriously by the owners. Paul & Carol, the hosts, are lovely and very helpful with directions for the best walks and places to eat. The location is great, less than 5 minutes to the town centre. Our room had a lovely view of the babbling brook. We also had chocolates and biscuits provided daily and a tea/coffee making facility in the room. We would definitely recommend having dinner at the Pheasant Inn. Babbling Brook Guesthouse is a great place to stay for a refreshing break!

    Cragwood Guesthouse is a beautiful place to stay in Keswick, just 3km from Derwentwater and 17km from Buttermere. Our hosts, Sean and Emma, are welcoming and friendly and have created a wonderful guesthouse with all the mod cons. The room (Latrigg) was very comfortable, stylish, spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and well presented. Emma called us the day before to confirm our room was ready and gave us all the details we needed. Plus, Sean was the perfect host at breakfast time, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. The location is perfect - just a few minutes' walk from Keswick town centre and the foot of Catbells. We had a lovely stay celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and can highly recommend Cragwood Guesthouse.

Our room, Room 7 on the top floor, was a compact twin room with stunning views of the fells, cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Graham and Gina, our hosts, were exceptionally welcoming and provided us with great advice for restaurants, places to visit and more. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast and smoked salmon. We felt truly at home and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a homely, warm and accommodating place to stay.
